Then I bought this one and it works very well for grabbing the BNC connector and turning it easily. I work with old equipment that has tightly packed BNC connectors in a mass of coax, so this tool is handy. Like others mentioned, if the stress relief on the coax near the connector is thick.

I purchased this converter from Parts Express after buying a pair of NHT SuperOne speakers. I knew that it wouldn't be long before I ran into an issue with the binding posts on my amp not working with one of the speaker's terminals. Parts Express has its fair share of excellent products, but the F-Connector Removal Tool was something I didn't know about until recently. Frustrated that I couldn't easily swap out my speakers due to the poor design, I thought there had to be a better way. That's when I found out about the F-Connector Removal Tool. After reading up on it and watching a demo video, I decided to order one and give it a try.

Features

The Parts Express F Connector Removal Tool is a great tool for anyone who works with audio/video accessories. These connectors are very similar in appearance to 3.5mm stereo connectors, but they have a different shape and contact pattern, making them impossible to use without the right tool. The F Connector Removal Tool also comes in handy when removing terminal pins from an RCA jack, particularly if you don't want to damage the jack or the pin. This tool is made of steel and is designed to remove both the positive and negative ends of the connector. Simply insert the end of the tool into the connector and twist it 180 degrees, and your connection should be free and clear!

What I Like

My old fingers just can't get some of those connectors loose any more, and this took care of the problem. Yes, you have to repeatedly loop the coax around the handle, but that's a small matter compared to not being able to get the connector unscrewed. I think you will love the tool even if you won't use it very often.

You've likely heard the terms Ratchet Crimper,Flaring tool,Crimp tool and Riveting Tool being thrown around. Let's take a look at each type of tool and define them with examples, so you can select the best crimper for your needs.

Features

Have you ever tried to use one of those gold-colored, winged-nut crimp tools for RG58 coaxial cable? It's a pain! The wire is stubborn and the jaws on the tool close too tightly, so the wire gets kinked or even cut. If you've ever had this problem, then you know why these are so popular—they're fast and easy.

The main difference between these and other crimpers is that they have ratcheting jaws that grip the cable in just the right way to make a clean, solid connection every time. They cost more than the gold-colored ones but they're worth it—we've never once had a bad crimp with these crimpers.

When you first use them, it helps to have some extra pair of hands to hold things steady while you get used to how much pressure to apply. You can always ask one of our friendly staff members for help when you're in the store.

If you've been having problems with your connections using traditional crimping tools, give these a try! They really do make life easier.

What I Like

I am very happy and pleased with this really great and inexpensive tool that the crimper came like most other Amazon packages packed very well and secure. This is the first time I have ever used crimp on coax connectors. The tool works like a charm making factory looking crimps in just a few seconds. The first day I did four ends, and all of them turned out like factory ends.

Features

As people get more and more into the world of DIY home improvement, there's a good chance that you're going to have to deal with coaxial cables. You see, coaxial cables are used for many things, from cable television services to CCTV security cameras. This is why it's important to have a BNC connector crimping tool on hand that can handle all of these different types of cables.

The professional coaxial cable crimper we're looking at today is perfect for anyone who might be dealing with RG type cables for BNC connectors. These include 55, 58, 59, 62, 5, 6, 21, 140, 141, 142.

One thing to note about this product is that it comes with 100 pieces of RG59 BNC connectors and 20 pieces of RG6 BNC connectors. The RG59 BNC connectors are useful if you're working with coaxial cables that have a diameter of 0.405 inches or less (about 10 millimeters). The RG6 BNC connectors are useful if you're working with coaxial cables that have a diameter of 0.5 inches (about 12 millimeters).

The great thing about these connectors is that they can be used in just about any place where you use a regular coaxial cable.

What I Like

I've always disliked the chore of assembling coax cables because of the difficulty of getting a consistently high quality result. For some reason, even though I've been soldering for 50 years, and even with a good soldering iron of the correct wattage, I too often end up with stray solder on barrel threads, or a solder job that is just plain ugly.

Untwist your CAT5e/CAT6 cables fast and safely, without un-twisting the pairs ahead of time using our Separators. This tool is designed to be an extensive time saver, especially on large jobs that would otherwise require you to spend precious time untwisting every individual pair by hand. By using this tool every cable you untwist will have perfectly untwisted pairs, but we do also carry a full line of precision cable strippers for larger jobs requiring precise separation of matched pairs within the cable.

Features

Every network professional knows the pain of untwisting and separating twisted pairs, especially when they're dealing with a long patch cable and have to deal with several twists along its length. The problem is that you can't just do it by hand, because the cables are so tightly twisted together that it's impossible to separate them without the wires becoming damaged. Even if you use your fingers, you'll quickly find yourself with bloodied fingertips after even a short length of cable is separated, which brings us to the Untwist Tool. After being used by thousands of technicians over the years, this tool has proven itself to be highly effective at untwisting CAT5e/CAT6 pairs quickly and easily.

Untwist Tool V2 uses a "V" groove design that works by forcing the twisted pair between two hard plastic surfaces that create friction. As you apply pressure, the friction will cause the wires in each twisted pair to become flat and untwist from each other. The Untwist Tool is designed for large jobs where you might end up dealing with multiple twists along a cable's length—one of its main features is its ability to handle 6 twists per inch (TPI). This allows it to tackle cables as thick as 1 inch in diameter.

What I Like

I've seen some people dismiss this tool immediately, but you have to practice and get to know how to use it. At first I was very frustrated and ready to throw it at the wall, instead I contacted Tech Tools asking for assistance. Brent contacted me the next day with a message, tips and video. After spending some time with many samples of cable from my stock, I'm getting better at untwisting.

Looking for the fastest, easiest way to install F Connectors and Sleeves? Klein Tools has your answer. Patented Universal Sleeve technology installs up to 5x faster than other compression connectors. Viewing windows in the scews aid you in proper seating. Works with most major brands of RG6/RG6Q quad shield cable. Now available in a 35-piece pack or in a 10-piece pack, so you'll have enough sleeves and connectors for all of your connections.

Features

If you've ever had to use compression connectors to secure your coaxial cable in place, you know they can be a real pain. You have to strip the cable, thread it through the connector, crimp it with a tool--and then, before you can even get to the next one, you have to remove the old one and start over. Not so with Klein Tools' VDV813-613 Universal F Compression Connectors With Universal Sleeve Technology. Klein's patented Universal Sleeve technology allows these compressors to install up to 5x faster than other connectors.

The sleeve is key--it's designed with built-in viewing windows that allow you to see exactly where the sleeve is on the cable, then just push down and twist for a secure connection. The universal design allows it to fit most major brands of RG6/RG6Q quad shield cables--including RG6 and RG6Q from Belden. It also fits multi-shield and plenum cables. These compressors are made of solid brass with dark nickel plating for indoor use only. They're available in packs of 10 or 35 (this latter one is what we'll be covering).

What I Like

Klein Tools' compression connectors work perfectly. They are extremely easy to install using the associated Klein compression tool and Klein coax stripper and saved me a ton of money compared to the "gold standard" commercial connectors, tools and die sets. Just be sure not to adjust the compression correctly so that you don't press too far and damage the connector (as I did once once by accident).

It's a common occurrence to get stuck in a tight spot where you can't quite reach the back of something, whether it's your computer or your car. In these situations, you often need to be able to remove the back cover or panel of whatever you're trying to work on—but many objects have screws that are just slightly too small to fit a standard screwdriver.

√ Designed with a handle and a tapered end, this Carebol 11-Inch BNC Connector Removal Remove Tool allows you to reach into narrow spaces and easily remove BNC connectors from electronics and other equipment. Simply slide the tool over the connector until it fits snugly into place, then gently turn counterclockwise until it loosens from the rest of the unit. The tapered end slides between the connector and its housing to help provide leverage and reduce stress on both the tool and its surroundings while you unscrew—so you can get through any job without worrying about damaging expensive equipment. The handle is made with an easy-grip plastic that won't slip out of your hand when you're trying to reach a tricky spot. And at just under 100g, it's light enough that you don't have to worry about it weighing down your bag when you take it with.

What I Like

This tool makes connecting BNC ends to the back of a DVR a lot easier. For my set-up, a couple of inches shorter would be better. The only problem I have is that it doesn't fit the BNC ends on my existing cable. I got 3 4K cameras and 4K cable from Amcrest. The ends on them are bigger than the tool, so it won't fit.

I'm using it for regular cable TV coax -- I've been renovating over the years and moving wires around in my house, having to cut and re-connect. Finally broke down and decided on this one. Out of the box it has a really good weight to it.

I switched out my cable connections after taking my friend's suggestion. In some cases I had to switch and in others I thought it would improve the signal. It did and together with the Klein connector my signals are the best they have ever been. I used the connectors and a pair of heavy duty cutting shears. One tip is to round out the end of the cable before splicing and attaching the connector.

What I Like

I bought this set of crimpers because I had to constantly borrow tools at work to crimp Delphi weatherpack/metripack style terminals, and the crimp tools that I used were extremely basic non-ratcheting types. This made it fairly time consuming to crimp terminals because I had to essentially hold the wire and the terminal together while positioning the tool and crimping it.
